Method

Specification before software. Evidence before rollout.

Five phases, each ending in an artifact you can inspect: a map, a spec, a running agent, an evaluation report, a live system. No phase asks you to take our word for it.

01Map

We start in the workflow, not the tech stack. Working sessions with the people who actually run the process: where the volume is, where the exceptions live, which systems hold the records, and which steps demand judgment versus which are rote.

You'll see: a workflow map naming every step, system, and decision point.

02Specify

We write the build spec before we build: exactly what the agent does, what data it touches, what it is not allowed to do, and how success will be measured. Disagreements surface here, where they cost a conversation instead of a rebuild. That's the point of the phase.

You'll see: a written spec: scope, architecture, guardrails, success measures.

03Build

Short cycles, working software early. The agent runs against your real cases in the earliest cycles, not a staged demo at the end, so course corrections happen while they're cheap.

You'll see: the agent operating on real examples, with a direct channel to flag what's wrong.

04Harden

Before rollout: an evaluation suite built from real historical cases, deliberate edge-case and failure testing, a permissions review, and human-review gates wherever a decision carries consequences.

You'll see: evaluation results by case category, including the failure modes we found and fixed.

05Run

Deployment is the start of operation, not the end of the project. The system is monitored against the success measures from phase 02, evaluated as traffic and workflows shift, and iterated on a standing cadence.

You'll see: a monitoring view tied to those measures, and a review rhythm your team owns.

Defaults

The defaults we build with.

  • Working software over slideware.

Every phase ends in an artifact and most of the artifacts execute.

  • Built where your data lives.

We design for your cloud, your permissions, and your audit trail, rather than routing your operation through ours.

  • Judgment stays human.

Agents draft and execute the rote steps; people approve the consequential ones. Review gates are a feature, not a compromise.

  • Evaluations are the finish line.

An agent isn't done when the demo works. It's done when it holds up against the cases that used to go wrong.

  • Documentation is the handover.

Your team should be able to operate and change the system without going through us.

What we need from you

Honest process cuts both ways. A build goes well when we get: time with the people who actually do the work, not just their managers; an owner on your side who can make scope calls; and real cases, not sanitised samples, under whatever access controls your policies require.

See the process applied to your workflow.

The first call runs like a miniature phase 01. We ask how the work happens today, and you'll hear exactly how we think.
